WWF report on IndiaWe have seen many times over that the world can be powered by renewable energy sources by 2050.  WWF India has released late last year a report showing how the world’s largest democracy could do the same.

As RenewEconomy states, this report also stresses the vital importance of energy efficiency, which ” can bring in savings of up to 59 per cent (by both the supply and demand sides) by mid-century. “

The full report [pdf] also comes with maps with solar, wind and geothermal best spots as well as tons and tons of valuable data. This is your must read of the week.
