Do you remember my series of posts on how agroforestry and urban forestry could help the world solve some of its most pressing problems ? Well, it seems that the United Nations’ FAO is sharing my opinion. To their website :
” The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) today called on countries to boost efforts to promote agroforestry, (…) stressing it can help millions of people escape poverty and prevent environmental degradation.“
Their new guide is aimed at decision-makers, from non-governmental organizations to governments. It shows how agroforestry can be integrated into national strategies all around the world.
