Wine at risk because of climate change

A glass of red wineWe have previously seen that climate change is putting at risk coffee and chocolate as higher temperatures would decrease the harvests. This is already a serious source of concern as most of us enjoy their daily cup or bite.

Now comes even more scary – at least for the Frenchman I am – climate change could slash by up to 85 percent the production of wine in Bordeaux and other famous wine making regions of France, Europe and around the world.

It’s not as if we lacked reasons to be very serious on climate change, but I believe this is just the last straw. For more, please refer to The Guardian, Grist and the Huffington Post.
